world map for the game

Well not sure how it's really going to be done but for each region or world of the game's area it'll have the following as far as I know

-Plenty of levels which can be either Story mode, Time Trialed/Beat a certain time limit, or Quested
-1 or 2 bosses
-A town in which you can rest, chat with npcs for quests and such, buy things for your adventure, perhaps play a mini game using Scootaloo as mentioned a while ago either for fun or for bits maybe
-A way to connect to other regions/worlds, not sure if it's walking or maybe a train station that connects the towns as discussed in skype? I dunno, I could probably bs a map of what I'm imagining though it could be pointless since it'll be not professionally done

For the whole world map it could have all the regions but the areas you haven't been to could be darkened or missing due to the fact you've never been there though I did just get a thought

In the beginning when Twilight wants to "test" you and you kick the box inside could be the map then something like this happens

RD kicks the box and TS says whatever it is she says about her being powerful and turns around to write a note about it or something (To lazy to look at the google doc lol)
RD (You) then walks over to where the box got kicked and sees the map and presses the interact button near it to investigate or whatever
RD: Um Twi what's this map doing inside the box?
TS turns around with a ? type look and looks
TS: Oh that, I have plenty of maps like that around the library. You can have it if you want
RD then picks up the map
Music from Legend of Zelda when you get an item from a chest (Lol, doesn't actually have to even have music/noise when it happens)
RD got a map of Equestria!

But as mentioned earlier some areas are darkened cause they are unknown to the player so you travel around to kinda fill in the blanks? Just some thoughts

My idea is making the world map as super mario SNES games i think is the best option, each region wil have different look if you change the area the screen will chango to next one, also you always can play tree of four stages at the same time, make the game not lineal, like super mario land 2

Here's an idea for you. Perhaps there can be map pieces hidden within some levels, and every time you collect one entire map from the pieces (most likely scattered among several levels), you can see a certain extra section of the world you didn't know about before. It'd be a good way to hide secret bonus levels and other handy surprises.
